Show BANQUETFOR THEjHSHOP Another Function in the Rt. Rev. Leonard's Honor Set for Tonight. The Episcopal clergy of the missionary mission-ary district of Salt Lake met this morning morn-ing at St. Mark's cathedral to transact the business of the second day of the annual convocation. ' There was a full attendance, but most of the time was devoted to a theological discourse by Bishop Olmsted of Colorado Colo-rado on subjects pertaining to the. work of the church and the Christian faith. Little . business has been transacted by the convocation tills year, owing to the fact that it was called this month instead of in June, which Is the customary cus-tomary time. The church year ends in April, and in June each member of the clergy is prepared to make his reports and suggestions, but at this time they are not in a position to do so. The discussion on the subject of changing the name of the church was not resumed at thl morning's session. The members of St. Mark's have made extensive preparations for a banquet that will be given in honor of Bishop Leonard at the Knutsford hotel this evening to celebrate the fifteenth anniversary anni-versary of his elevation to the episcopate. episco-pate. The guests will number about sixty-flve and will be members of the 1 laity as well as the clergy. ) :" |
