Referee Charles Baldwin, referee In bankruptcy, heard about twenty protests against certain preferences which were alleged to have been shown in settling the estate of Charles Hoagland. former proprietor of the Big Boston store, but "wasUempted to show that creditors who were paid by Hoagland while solvent received preferences to which they were nTbenquestion involved in the protests was a decision as to the date when Hoagland Hoag-land became Insolvent. This was decided by Referee Baldwin, who said that the etate of Insolvency began when the store was closed by the Sheriff. The protests wre then dismissed. |
