Show TWO MEN TO ASSIST KNOX Day and Purdy Chosen for Places in Department Depart-ment of Justice. "WASHINGTON, March 5. Two Important Im-portant appointments- In the Department Depart-ment of Justice were agreed upon by President Roosevelt and Attorney Knox today. William A.' Day of the District of Columbia Is made assistant attorney to the Attorney-General at a salary of $7000 a year, and Milton D. Purdy of Minnesota Is' appointed Assistant Attorney-General. Mr. Day has been for a long, time the attorney for the Interstate Inter-state Commerce commission, and Mr. Purdy is a prominent lawyer of St. Paul. He formerly was Assistant United Uni-ted States District Attorney of Minn-, sota. These places were created by recent re-cent act of Congress. . . . |
