Running Of! Schedule. Five other cars passed at 4:20; they were the Waterloo, running off schedule sched-ule and fifteen minutes early; the East First South, on time, the westbound First South also on -time, '.the North Temple car, twenty minutes late, and the Poplar Grove car on schedule. A silence- of - one minute followed, when a Salt Palace car came along at 4:21 o'clock, one minute late. In another an-other minute the East Seventh South giant .appeared, two minutes late. At 4:24 o'clock a South Temple car whizxed fry on the card, and at 4:25 a Second West went grumbling down Main street, a minute tardy. j At 4:2T o'clock a Third street car left three minutes late, and three minutes later a State street car lfft on time. -An Last First South car ruMed out on time on the half hour, as did an Oregon Short Line. An Kast Fourth South car left the terminus one minute late at 4:31 o'clock and an East Seventh South car, held back on the loop by the slower moving Fourth South car, left at 4:32, or two minutes late. A Salt Palace car nagged the heels of the other and at 3.45 o'clock moved out, -four minutes late. A West First South car went past at 3:55 o'clock, five minutes behind lime, and a Third street car went on up the hill thirteen minutes late,, delayed by gravel washing onto the tracks and ' and clogging the switches. Four o'clock was a busy time on the corner and the air was pierced with the clatter of gongs and the grinding of wheels, as the Oregon .Short Line, East ..'First . South and East Seventh South street cars moved on, all on time. A Bunch of Loiterers. . A dozen cars passed in the' next ten minutes. The State street car at 4:01, a minute late; South Temple, 4:02 . o'clock, two minutes late; West First South at the same time, and the same time delayed; two of the East Fourth South cars then passed at 4:04 o'clock. NJPe being towed to the barn, and the other continuing the run, belated four minutes; a Fort Douglas car passed at 4:03 o'clock, two minutes ahead, and .a ! West Temple car at 4:04 o'clock, one minute ahead. Then a Second West street car passed at 4:08 o'clock, one minute late. One Car Delays Others. It had scarcely gotten under way when one minute later an East Seventh South car left the corner, a minute late, delayed by the preceding car. Then a Poplar Grove car bumped across the tracks at the same time, six minutes early. The two preceding cars which should. have passed at 3:36 o'clock and twenty minutes later, were derailed by gravel. An East Fourth South car passed at 4:11 o'clock, one minute- early, and a West First South car passed at 4:12 o'clock, two minutes late. A South Temple Tem-ple street car had slowed up at the crossing giving the West First South car the right of way. and resumed Its journey at 4:12 o'clock, on time. . - .
