The Young Men's Republican club held a meeting last night, at which it was decided to Incorporate under the non-pecuniary clause of the statutes, to make the fee for admittance V, and to change the name of the club. The committee recently appointed to draft articles of incorporation presented a majority and minority report. The majority report favored) a capitalization at $5000, each member to take one chare of stock. A spirited debate was held, after which it was decided to Incorporate as a club, not formed for the financial benefit ben-efit of the members. When the discussion arose as to the advisability of changing the name of the club, a hot debate was precipitated. The names proposed were the Wasatch, and the Fremont club. This question will be decided at the next meeting: of the club, when the articles of incorporation incorpor-ation come up for adoption. ' The regular number of officers Is provided pro-vided for In the articles, and an executive execu-tive committee, consisting of the officers and one member from each of the five city wards. The annual elections will be held on the flrrt Tuesday in September of each year. The quorum for elections Is set at 100. At all other meetings fifteen shall constitute a quorum. Proxies cannot be presented or voted at any time. The following, taken from the articles of incorporation, explain the objects of the club: "The object of this club shall be to promote and defend Republican principles, princi-ples, to uphold and encourage pure and patriotic government, to unqualifiedly support .the nominees of the Republican party and to provide social relaxation for its members. It shall have the power to acquire snd dtspora of such real estate and personal property as may be necessary for the proper conduct con-duct of the club." Joseph J. Meyers and C. S.
