The rise in the price of Daly West stock has caused the shareholders who " had laid away their stock certificates under the floor or In the safety deposit Vaults, to await better times and prices, to prick up their ears! , Without doubt the approaching meeting meet-ing of the company has a good deal to do with the Increase, although the mine is reported as looking splendidly at the present time. -The Cincinnati shareholders, share-holders, who have been most dissatisfied dissatis-fied during the past year, are making a desperate effort to control the majority ma-jority of the stock and buying orders from this Source are in evidence on both the Boston exchange and the local board. -It is almost an assured fact that the Cincinnati stockholders will attempt at-tempt to oust the present board of directors, di-rectors, but whether they will be able to do so la another Question. It is to be regretted that the committee commit-tee appointed by the Cincinnati stockholders stock-holders to examine the mine books and conditions at the Daly West did not come out to the property and make a thorough examination before the meeting. meet-ing. Such an examination was courted by. the management and would have given all parties concerned a more com fortable feeling. It would have also enabled en-abled the Eastern stockholders to take much more intelligent action at the .- meeting.
