Show WORK FOR IRRIGATION Commercial Club Takes More Steps to Help State's Interests. The Commercial club has appointed two committees to look Into the Irrigation Irriga-tion possibilities. of the northern and southern parts of the State, and collect data designed to be of service In furthering fur-thering Government reclamation scheme already projected, or which may be proposed at some future time. The committee for northern Utah la composed of James K. Shaw. D. C Richmond, D. S. Taggart and Wesdey K. Walton. That for the southern part of the State comprises George Austin. Joseph H. Tounc 7. A. Tlmby and A. H. Woolley. Secretary Fisher Harris announces that a comprehensive and concise statement state-ment of the provisions and effect of the national irrigation law, of what Is contemplated con-templated by the Utah lake reservoir project and the Greater Utah Irrigation scheme, and the Immediate and ultimate ulti-mate benefits1 of thoss projects, will be compiled by Stats Engineer A. F. Doremus and published by the Club, In pamphlet form. Mr. Harris says there are still so many persons in this State having large Interests at stake, who do not understand under-stand these Irrigation matters, that it Is deemed advisable to spread broadcast broad-cast full information oa the subject. The pamphlets will also be available tor the Information of Eastern Investors. |
