Show UTAH MINING MEN AT WORK FOR STATE Commercial Club Mines Committee Has Several Plans to Aid Utah Under Way. The Commercial club committee on mines and mining held a meeting last night, at which several enterprising projects pro-jects were considered. Among those present were John S. Hranstford, chairman; W. S. McComick, Duncan McVlchie. J. V. Ferris, and W. II. Tlbbals. W. H. Tibbals was delegated to correspond corre-spond with the officers of the National Mining congress, with a view of securing secur-ing the permanent headquarters of the congress in Salt Lake. Helena, Denver and San Francisco are also in the field, but Salt Lake's geographical geo-graphical situation. In the center of the Western mining region, will be a strong factor tending toward the success of the committee's efforts. Another committee, consisting of Duncan Dun-can McVlchie, C. W. Whitley and Simon y Bamberger, was appointed to look Into and report concerning the freight rates on ores, coke, bullion and other mine products. No definite conclusion was reached by the committee on the advisability of having published a pamphlet for general circulation, advertising the developed and undeveloped mining districts of Utah. - - |
