Show AGED WOMAN'S LIFE IS SAVED BY, FENDER Struck by Street Car, She Escape With a Tew Bruises; Would Not Give Her Name. An elderly woman who refused to give her name was struck by a street car at the corner of Main and Second South streets at 6 o'clock last night, but escaped es-caped Injury. She was crossing the street and failed to heed the warning of the motorman on a Second South street car, which was approaching, and was struck. The fender lifted her clear of the tracks and she was not even severely bruised. She was badly frightened, fainted and was carried into Smith's drug store, where she revived in a few minutes. - . The car was traveling at a low rate of speed. |
