Show Fire in a Residence. The residence of F. T. McGurrln, 142 Second East street was damaged by Are to the extent of nearly $l?j0 Friday night. The Are started while members of the family were away from the house, and the flames had gained good headway when discovered. The firemen did good work and used but little water in getting the blase under control. Defective furnace fur-nace flues are believed to have caused the fire. The damage to the house will probably prob-ably run up to $1000, while the furniture was injured to the extent of $760. The building and contents were insured for txoo. |
