The general trend of the market was lower and some of the more prominent stocks broke sharply. Prices In general were low, although there were some advances recorded. , New York was undoubtedly the feature fea-ture of the market, and someone is undoubtedly un-doubtedly unloading a big block. The trading was very heavy, the stock opening open-ing at 25c and selling to 24c. It recovered recov-ered a trifle on the open board. Carisa was strong around 13c, although the demand de-mand for it was not great and little was on the market. Lower Mammoth hit the slide and tumbled to 8Mc, with small and weak trading. Daly West recorded re-corded a sale at $12. and a nice block " was sold at that price, but much more was to be had at that figure, but no purchasers were to be found. Only J1L50 was bid at the close.
