Show GROCERS ON THECARPET Six of Them Plead Guilty to Charge of Scllliig Impure Catsup. ; ix dealers in catsup pleaded guilty j this morning before Judge Diehl of having; hav-ing; far sale, and selling, catsup that was not pure. One dealer decided to contest the case, and filed a plea of not guilty. The ones who admitted1 the Justice of the claim of State Food Inspector Helner were H. A. Milam, A. H. Hudson, 3. E. Healey, H. H. .Howe, O. O. Bates and W. S. Henderson. William Langton held a dissenting opinion and pleaded not guilty. He will put up a fight. Sentence was suspended until tomorrow, tomor-row, when the first five victims of the new law will be fined 31 each, while Henderson, the sixth, will be assessed 0. Henderson has on hand a stock of catsup cat-sup worth 3400. and will bring suit against the manufacturers for damages, on the ground) that the label on the bottles bot-tles was a guarantee of the purity of the contents. One of the dealers got into trouble in a peculiar way. A fellow grocer with an establishment . nearby handles - but one brand of catsup, and that brand is under the ban. The other man handles but one brand, which is acknowledged to have stood the test. Both brands re-tall re-tall at the same price. When the grocer handling the bad goods had an order for the other kind, he would make an even exchange with his friendly rival. When the inspectors swooped down on the store of the latter, they found one bottle of the tabooed brand, but the arrest ar-rest of the proprietor followed just the same. The inspectors say that they have wnly begun the work, and will arrest other dealers as rapidly as they can be located. lo-cated.
