Cousins of Iowa, chairman of the Congressional sub-committee on Naval Affairs who stopped in Salt Lake for a few hours yesterday on his way East, does not think that sentiment of opposition to Senator Smoot Is yery strong in the East. "At Washington we do not care what a man's religious beliefs may be," he said. "All we want to know of a man is whether or not he is worthy of association. asso-ciation. If he is he Is accorded the privilege of entertaining whatever views on religion he may choose."
