Fueling as directors. The Star Con. reported with two more cars of ore yesterday. - The mine is said to be showing a vast Improvement and the $35,000 debt which hangs over the company may be paid within the year. Salt Lake City 42 DALY-JUDGE OPENS ANOTHER ORE BODY Another massive body of milling ore has been opened up in the Daly-Judge mine, the strike being made on the 1400-foot level In a crosscut. General Manager Daly came down from the property last night, bringing with him some fine samples from the new find. The vein when nrst encountered was four feet across but soon opened out to fifteen feet. The mill is still running and the usual output of concentrates Is being shipped dally. All of the improvements to the mill are now on the ground and It is probable that they will be Installed In-stalled this week. RETURN FROM EAST. O. 8. Holmes, proprietor of the Knutsford hotel, 'and Frank Knox, president of the National Bank of the Republic, returned from the East yesterday, yes-terday, where they went in the Interest of several Utah and Nevada mining interests. in-terests. CONSXIN SAMPLER AGAIN ' IN OPERATION: STRIKE TATXS. S The Conklln ore sampler was closed down a short time last evening, owing to the refusal of part of the night force to work a ten-hour shift. Other men, however, how-ever, were soon engaged and today the flant Is running ss usual. Manager Mark-and Mark-and stated today that the men asked him for an eight-hour shift last evening, while he was at the mill, and when he refused to grant them the concession part of them Immediately quit. Superintendent Waples it seems however had little difficulty In getting a sufficient force to keep the sampler going. UTAH MINE'S APRIL OUTPUT AMOUNTED TO 83 TONS. The monthly report made by Superintendent Superin-tendent Crismori of the Utah reached the local office today. The report shows that the total output for the month of April amounted to 196,150 pounds of ore. and that the assays on the output averaged 47 4-10 per cent lead, and $3 ounces of silver. sil-ver. Superintendent Crlsmon gives a thorough description of the new ore veins on the various levels, and says the' outlook out-look for the present month Is very satisfactory. Many Tourists in Town.
