Show DALY HITS TOBOGGAN; DALY-JUDGE CLIMBS UP Daly hit the toboggan with a thud on the morning call, reaching the 13.85 mark before putting down tbe brakes. Only 320 shares were released, but during their sale the price went from $4.10 to the figure mentioned above. Daly-Judge made another substantial spurt and succeeded in reaching the 311 goal, fifty shares going at that figure on the open call, while 200 were- dropped at $10.90. Grand Central also showed up strong, opening at $5.20, a figure which it could not maintain, going back to $5.12. Utah remained at yesterday's figure, 100 going at 66 cents and 100 at 66 cents. . La Relne made a record in the matter of releasing stock, a total of 35,000 shares being the number. A 5-cent bid brought out 30,000 of them, while the others oth-ers went at 5 cents, buyer sixty days. New York opened at 24 cents, crawled up to 25 cents. Wabash advanced to 42 cents after a sale of about 1000 shares. Nalldrlver, which sold yesterday at $2.50, opened trading at $2.40 and dropped to $2.35 in the course of a few sales. Smith of the Highland Boy Consolidated of Bingham Bing-ham came in from that property last pight. Mr. Smith says the main ore body for which the management has been driving should be reached within a few days, in fact he is hourly expecting expect-ing to encounter it. The flow of water has somewhat retarded operations, but that difficulty has now been overcome. - STRIKE MADE IN THE BINGHAM CENTENNIAL. Manager J. A. Jacobson of the Bingham Bing-ham Centennial came from the property this morning with ore samples taken from the tunnel in that property. At the 300-foot point a contact vein was encountered which promises - good results. re-sults. The ore shows 22 per cent lead, eighteen ounces silver, $1.60 in gold and lb per cent copper. Mr. Jacobson says the entire face of the tunnel is in the same quality of ore and Is of the opinion opin-ion that it will hold out. The property joins the Ben Butler and the ore is similar to that of the latter mine. MARTHA SHOULD BE CONTINUOUS PRODUCER. A. S. Camp'cJl, who returned from the Martha Washington this morning, thinks that property will be a continuous continu-ous producer, on a small scale, from now on. Both the Martha and the Antelope An-telope veins are opening up with good results. On the former a winze has been sunk to a depth of ninety feet. In ore all the way, and stoplng has been started on the Antelope. Everything about the property appears to be In first-class condition, and the ore now being loaded Is fully as rich as the recent re-cent shipment. METAL QUOTATIONS. Silver Is quoted at 48 cents today, and copper at 12 cents. -f MINIHO NOTES. The Taylor-Brunton company received one car of ore from Frisco today, and seven from Tlntlc. The Conklin sampler received five care of ore from, the Grand Central today. to-day. The ore and bullion settlements yesterday yes-terday amounted to $112,800. The management of the Carlsa has placed an order for an air compressor with which to operate four power drills. Manager Lloyd of the Copper Mountain Moun-tain company says work on that property prop-erty will be resumed. BROKERS WILL FIGHT LEWIS & ADAMS BILLS A special meeting of the stock exchange ex-change directors was called at noon today to-day for the purpose of taking some action ac-tion relative to the bills introduced in the Legislature yesterday by Lewis and Adams, directed against stock manipulations. manipu-lations. NEW COMPANY ORGANIZED. Articles of incorporation of the De La Mar Extension Gold Mining company were filed with the Secretary of State yesterday. The company's property lies contiguous to the Bamberger De La Mar bonanza and includes the Mitchell and Scott group of claims. The officers and directors are: R. B. Cameron, president; presi-dent; W. T. Mitchell of De La Mar, vice-pfesldent; Dr. Murray R, Stewart, treasurer, and Attorney D. S. Truman, secretary. GUGOENHEIMS JOIN FORCES WITH JOHN HAYS HAMMOND. It Is announced In New York that John Hays Hammond will become associated asso-ciated with the Guggenheim Exploration Explora-tion company in the capacity of general manager and consulting engineer. It was announced that In future Mr. Hammond Ham-mond would, as general manager to the Exploration company, begin the work of development of several of the important impor-tant mining propositions which are now controlled by the Guggenheim syndicate. syndi-cate. Plans are practically completed for a merger of several of the Important Impor-tant Mexican and Western mines recently re-cently bought in the interest of the Guggenheim Exploration company, and these properties will pass under its control. con-trol.
