ENCOURAGED AT RESULTS SHOWN University faculty Assists As-sists With New Water Wa-ter Locating Device. C. B. Durst, who for a. number of years was engaged in business in thla city, and who has been mining at Bingham for several years has Invented an electric appliance ap-pliance for the scientific location of underground un-derground streams of water. During the past week he has been assisted as-sisted by the faculty of the University of Utah In? making experiments with this device, and all who have seen It eeem to feci very much encouraged over the results that were obtained while experimenting ex-perimenting with soma of the water mains, that are a considerable distance underground on the campus. If the proposition Is a success, as so many seem to feel that it will be, it will revolutionize the desert wastes of the Western country, and epec allv will thia apply to Utah and Nevada, Where it H proposed to give the scheme a tryout It will also prove of a great deal of benefit to the mining Industry, as it Is of considerable con-siderable Importance to know the exact location of water veins underground.
