Show HORSE RACING BEGINS TODAY IN NEW YORK NEW YORK. April 16. The metropolitan metro-politan horse racing season will be opened today with the running of the $10,000 Carter handicap at the Aqueduct track under the auspices of the Queens County Jockey club.' The opening day found the track only partly dried out after the heavy rain of Sunday, and fast time was not expected. The dls- tance of the Carter handicap is seven I furlongs.
