Show MRS. GLEECH GETS DIAMONDS AT LAST The case "bf Mrs. Margeritha Gleech against Mrs. Gertrude Ryckman was tried by Judge Lewis yesterday and decided de-cided in favor of the plaintiff. The suit has dragged along for more than a year. It was brought to recover the possession of diamonds valued at (1000. According to the complaint, the diamonds dia-monds were taken from the plaintiff by the defendant and the latter refused to return them. , From the answer filed it sppeared that Attorney J. H. Ryckman. former husband of the defendant, took the gems as security se-curity for fees in a murder case tried in Wyoming aome years ago. Later the ptatntln? gave a note for the amount and asked for the return of the diamonds. In the meantime the diamonds had been given by Ryckman to his wife, and she i had come to Salt Lake City. An action was commenced in this county to recover I and the gems were attached and turned into court. They will now be turned over to Mrs. Gleech. |
