Robinson of Fillmore, in front, of the Wyoming room ng-house in First South street, Tuesday night. The finding of Harris tLis morning unravels part of a mystery that developed Wednesday. . Kobinson is believed to have left the city, thinking he had killed Har- - , ris. Ilarris says he will not prosecute his assailant, although he says 1 the assault was unprovoked and. became near dying - from lossof blood before medical attention was secured. Enrsged at the sight of three young men and two girls making love in a dark stairway, at the Wyoming rooming-house, 44 West First South street, Tuesday night. J. A. Robinson, stated I to be a wealthy stockman from Fillmore, Fill-more, Utah, charged upon them with a penknife and seriously wounded Sid Harris, who Uvea at the Spokane rooming-house, 72 West Second South street. At the time Robinson made the attack. at-tack. It is said that he waa clad only in an undershirt and a pair of trousers. Cut in Pive Places. The knife blade punctured Harris' body In five places. Guests at the rooming-bouse, say that Jealousy was the caute of the affa , and that Robinson has been caring for the young women for a week past. Claimed One as Cousin. The names they gave were Thelma Harrington and Cecil Rose. ; Since the trouble Robinson -has die appeared and as no one has attempted to prosecute him, no report of the matter mat-ter waa made to the police. Lying In bed with bandages about his head, Sid Harris Har-ris told the story of the affair to a Telegram Tel-egram reporter this morning. Victim Tells His Story. "I was standing talking to a friend In front of the building." said Harris. "The girls and some young fellow were talking on the stairs. One of them made some remark that waa meant for my friend and me, and we went over to them and commenced to talk. Slashed With Knife. "He tried to hit my friend and then slashed at me with a knife. The blade struck me over the back and Inflicted a wound In the shoulder. He slashed me on the side of the head, and I fell down. I never saw the girls before In my life, and I had never seen the man and did not know who he was.- I was cut five times before he finished cutting me. I believe it was done with a penknife. pen-knife. "My friend took me home and a physician phy-sician was called. I don't know why the man Jumped on me. I was at the foot of the stairs and the other young man and the two women were several steps further up the stairs. The knife severed an artery In 'my head, and- if I had not received medical . attention when I did I would probably have bled to death. My wounds are not serious now.
