Show TOOK WRONG TRUNK FOR SHOWMAN'S DEBT Getting possession ' of , the wrong trunk landed A. T. Shurtliff of Murray in Justice Dana T- Smith's cOurt yesterday yes-terday and today he is allowed his freedom on a $1000 bond. Shurtliff is charged with grand larceny. According to his story. L. T. Cushing. manager of a vaudeville show, owed Shurtliff $10" and the showman was about to depart without settling the account. Shurtliff declares that he grabbed a trunk and refused to give up the same until the debt was satisfied. The trunk did not belong to Cushing, but was the property of Mrs. Cushing, and there Is where the trouble started. ShurtlifT was arrested yesterday by Deputy Sheriff Ike Emery and Deputy Sheriff Larson. , ' |
