Show MRS. CHADWICK IS HYSTERICAL Fails to Keep Promise to Reveal Persons Implicated Impli-cated With Her. CLEVELAND, O.. Dec. 6. Mrs. Cassie L. Chadwick was taken into' the Federal bankruptcy court yesterday upon her Own request, for the purpose, as she statad, of completing her testimony as to some of her financial dealings. Although she' hag recently stated that she could reveal certain facts of Importance, nothing of that nature waa brought out and the hearingended with Mrs., Chadwick in a condition bordering on collapse. " Mrs. Chadwick said, that she would make some further statements concerning concern-ing her transactions provided that certain cer-tain persons who have benefited greatly through her dealings would first tell what they know. She mentioned .Dr. W. N. Kitchen, president of the Stat Savings & Trust company of this city, and J. A. 8mith, an attorney, and one of the directors di-rectors of the bank. Requested to give additional namea Mrs. Chadwick became excited and almost al-most hysterical and said she did not wish to give them in public, stating that she did not want to have anybody exposed. ex-posed. She said that these persons bad benefited to the extant of hundreds of thousands of dollars by her and the money might be recovered for the benefit of the creditors If suits were begun. Pressed for the names she refused to give them and finally showed evidence of fainting and was assisted from the courtroom. Before being taken baric to jail she said she would give the names to Trustee Nathan Loeser In private and he could do what he thought best. |
