It waa presented present-ed at the Salt Lake Theater Tuesday night by a falsly good-company but it did not arouse the audienc to a marked pitch of enthusiasm. It was well staged and the members of the company worked hard but It lacked swing and snap. The best thing In "The Silver Slipper" Is the chafaipagne dance. Six cute, glittering little ''broilers" ''broil-ers" do as devilish, saucy and pretty a turn In that dance as one would wish to see. The audience couldn't get enough of It. "The Silver Slipper" has been hero before, but that It will come again is not likely, it could well be spared. Emits Edwards gets a good deal of fun out ot his part and provokes pro-vokes most of the laughs. ' Beatrice Golden as Wrenne, and Lora Lieb as Sella did well. There are a number of people in the company and the mala voices in the chorus are good but the ; singing of the principals is not above the average. "The Silver Slipper" will be repeated Wednesday afternoon and .evening. " . .
