Show JEWISH PARLIAMENT IS NOW PROPOSED LONDON. Jan. 24. The interesting proposal to establish an annual International Inter-national parliament of Jews to discuss matters affecting the race, explained by B. J. Bellsha at Manchester, Is discussed dis-cussed with much approval among members of the Jewish community in London. Opinions, however, differ as to the nature na-ture of the matters with which such a parliament should deal. The chief rabbi's rab-bi's official secretary Is enthusiastic over the scheme. "It Is a splendid Idea." he said. "In my opinion the chief aims of such an assembly should be to take precautionary precaution-ary measures to prevent the recurrence of the horrible massacre of Jews which have taken place in Russia, and to assist as-sist financially those who are persecuted. perse-cuted. A representative body would carry great weight with all nations. Frankfort. I think, would be a very good center for such an assembly." The Rev. E. Splro. minister of the Central synagogue, cordially approved of the scheme. "The great need of the Jews at present." pres-ent." said Mr. Splro. "Is a revision of their present system of appointing teachers and preachers. The Jews of every nation are in sore need of cor-, rectlon. In England there are many in whom money has brought out all those bad characteristics which marks Jews as a race distrusted and unpopular. unpopu-lar. Jews are never shown their own faults, because the preachers of the synagogues are selected and receive their salaries from a board of management. manage-ment.
