Show PIONEER ALFRED BEST CROSSES GREAT DIVIDE. ' I Alfred Best, one of the last members of the pioneer band, died last night at his home, Twelfth South and Seventh East streets, "after a long illness. He was 77 years old, came to America from England. He opened the first hardware hard-ware store In Utah. He had been 111 since last month and for three weeks was virtually unconscious. I When the end came, Mr. Best was attended at-tended by his wife and the majority pf his eighteen living children. |
