Show NOTED AUTHOR WILL VISIT SALT LAKE H. Rider Haggard, the noted English author, will arrive here Monday from San Francisco, on a trip through , the United States for the purpose of examining exam-ining Into the colonization methods of the Salvation Army. Mr. Haggard was appointed a commissioner to study coP onization by the British Government some time ago. The Army is transporting from London Lon-don shiploads of colonists each year. These colonists are sent to the Army agents'in Canada or Africa, where they are given twenty acres of land per family, fam-ily, a good house, live stock and farm machinery sufficient to give them a good start In life. The colonists are required re-quired to pay for their homes In a number num-ber of years. The Army finds markets for the products of the colonists, and gives them aid In many other ways. |
