Gus Olender have lost their lives in an attempt to explore Tl-buron Tl-buron island. -Whether they- were killed and eaten by the cannibals of Zert 'Indians on the island or 'drowned in the turbulent waters of the Gulf of California or were slain by some renegade rene-gade band of Yaaul Indians on the mainland of Sonora. is a mystery that will probably never be ' solved. The fact remains, however, that the men are lost and the circumstances lead to the conclusion that they met dea)thin one of the three ways mentioned. Miller was a school teacher of Los Angeles, of an adventurous v turn of mind, and Olender was a seaman engaged en-gaged by him to accompany him on an exploration trls to Tiburon. |
