Show RICHFIELD. RICHFIELD, Utah, March S3. Four youths of Richfield Henry Nlell. Fletcher Jensen, Lloyd Nlelson and Wlllard Crosland in ages from 11 to 14 years, wers arrested Tuesday on tbs charge of having entered some of the mercantile houses of this city and stolen such articles as fruits, cigars, chewing tobacco, candles, nuts, etc. It was found that ths boys had for some time past been engaged In this work and that they were using the vacant basement of the Rell.f society hall to cache their stolen goods and hold midnight revelries, smoking and chewing tobacco and feasting uuon their other booty. When confronted con-fronted with evidences of their depredations, they confessed and revealed some of their hidden stores which had not yet been consumed. con-sumed. . . . The boys pleaded guilty when taken before the City Justice of ths Peace Tuesday, and their cases were taken under advisement. They are all sons of well-known and highly respected re-spected parents, and tha disclosures are a great shock to their parents. I.ast Saturday as John Harrington, an aged cltlien of Hlenwood, was returning home from a trip to Richfield his team ran away. For a couple ot miles the horses dashed along uncontrolled, until finally they collided with a telephone pole. The pole was broken down snd the horses knocked to the ground. Both Mr. Harrington and the team escaped without with-out injury, no serious damage being done. |
