Show WAR IS DECLARED j ON GLARING UGHTS IN DAVIS COUNTY Beginning Saturday night and continuing" con-tinuing" for two weeks. Sheriff J. D. Burnett of Davis county will wage an Intensive campaign for the elimination of glaring; headlights on automobile, according to an announcement made by officials of the Salt Lake Commercial Com-mercial club. Sheriff Burnett will station two motorcycle mo-torcycle traffic officers on the Davis county highways and every offender 1 of the atate laws governing glaring headlights will be arrested. The cam-iwign cam-iwign Is to be conducted In efforta to eliminate danger from the glaring light, which have already caused several serious accidents and endangered endan-gered the lives of many autolsta. The Davis county sheriff was commended com-mended highly for his cooperation In ridding the Salt LAke and Ogden highway high-way of those motorists who insist in traveling; with glaring headlights. A similar campaign la now being waged In Salt Lake county and many arrests have already been made. Other city and county authorities tnroughout the state are expected to join In the movement move-ment to eliminate the bright head-lights. |
