The jym was decorated with minia-ture umbrellas and small white wedding bells, A cooking class for gu ls in the Third to Sixth grades is being conducted each week day from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the High-land Boy Community House. Alice Virginia Brown, teacher, announces that classwork began Monday. The group enjoyed refreshments and discussed old times. Mrs. Tony Azzelio, Mrs. Sam Mathurin, Santa Da Ronche. Pete Guizetti attended funeral services Wednesday for Tony Dt Costa, a former resident of Highland Boy. He was a veteran of World War I, and saw action in Fiance. Le-gionnaires were present to pay him military honors- George Balich, son of Mr. and Mrs. George Balich, enjoyed a birthday supper Tuesday after-noon on his ninth birthday. A few friends were invited and a large cake and other refresh-ments served. Sgt. Joe Churich of the marin-es, who reported back to San Diego last week after a 30-da- y furlough, was a dinner guest June 21 at the home of his sister, Mrs. Ray Lucas. and sister, Mrs. George Bado-vinatz. She is the former Ann Blockovich. Betty Steele, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A L. Steele, is spend-ing this week with her aunt, Mrs. Ronald Larsen of Salt Lake City. Jackie Lee Davidson, now of East Midvale, formerly of Bing-ham, is spending a few days with Ann and Mary Casich. She is a graduate of Bingham high school, class of '45. Mrs. Milka Smilanich returned home Sunday from a two-wee- k vacation in Los Angeles and sur-- I rounding areas. She was a guest at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Stan-ley Rakich, former residents of Highland Boy. Saturday evening the Highland Boy Softball club enjoyed a ball game at Lead Mine, results be-ing in favor of the girls. The team roster includes Annie Ger-bic-catcher; Mary Pino, first base; Mary Casich, second base; Rose Arko, third base; Marie Azzelio, shortstop; Ann Pechina, right field; LaRose Ortego, left field- The girls are looking for-ward to league play. Following the game delicious refreshments were served at the home of Mary and Ann Casich with Mary Love-ric- h cohostess. Mrs. Steffie Gerbich spent June 28 in Murray at the home of Bob Gerbich. Ann Casich was honored at a delightful birthday party at the home of Mrs. Milka Smilanich Sunday. The table was cleverly decorated with a lovely cake in the center and with placecards marking each setting. Summer flowers were used about the room. Those present included Mary Loverich, Marie Azzelio, Mary Casich, Annie Gerbich, Jo-sephine Rottini, Paul Smilanich, Andy Savich and Mrs. Smilan-ich. Many lovely gifts were re- - ceived. For the past week Daniel E. Shea has been visiting his sis-ter, Mrs. Tony Stilinovich of Mrs. Louis Susaeta and Bob-bie and Johnny visited Wednes- - day with Mrs. Susaeta's mother-in-la- Mrs. Manuel Susaeta. Vernon Jeffcott is now a pa- - tient at the Salt Lake General hospital where his daughter, Vn t'inia, is a cadet nurse. Peter Massa, son of Mr and Mrs, George Massa. celebrated his 14th birthday Friday evening at the family home. A delicious ravioli dinner was served and a lovely cake presented him. Lester Rice of Pueblo, Colo., arrived in Bingham for a visit of indefinite length. Mrs. Peter Kosovich and chil-dren, Peter Michele and Vivian Ann, of Colfax, Calif., are lure to visit two weeks with Mrs. Rose Yengich, Mrs. Kosovich's mother. Mrs. Dominic Perrelle and sons Bob and John spent Tuesday vis-iting in Highland Boy with Mrs Ann Sponga and Mrs. Nick Yen-- ; gich. Mrs. Joe Kopesec Sr received a phone call from her son, Pvt. Raymond Konesee. that he was in West Virginia and aould be home soon. He was taken prison-- ) er by Germans December 17, 1944.
