Show VOICE OF THE PEOPLE By y Telegram Readers Ordinary Citizen Asks New Type of Labor Law Editor Telegram I have been reading this week of the New NewYork NewYork NewYork York bus strike and the way it crippled transportation in that teeming metropolis although only for a short time I INow f Now the thought occurs to me metha that tha since we regulate public utilities we might well consider regulating labor which operates public utilities The government holds that such utilities must be operated in the public interest and tells management what it itcan itcan itcan can and can not do Public utility labor should be under regulation too if the government is right on its stand on management and andI I think it is The railway labor act has been on the s statute books for many years and it has practically practically practically cally prevented any crippling railroad strikes There ought to tobe tobe tobe be some way that the principals of the railway labor act could be applied to other public ties Im I'm just an ordinary citizen who works for a living li and rides the bus to work because of the parking problem and I haven't the brain blain to think up the kind of law I would like to see But there are men in this state who canI hope that some one of our leaders of industry or labor or labor relations will come forward forward forward for for- ward with a plan which will rem remove ve threat of strikes Which could seriously damage our crowded urban civilization L.
