Show Heid Bishop Wedding Solemnized Friday evening, June 20 at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Donald G. Reid was the marriage of their daughter, Miss Dortha Jean Reid and Neldon I Reid Bishop, son of Mr. and Mrs. I Robert O. Bishop of Cleveland. Bishop Clinton Robison perform- I ed the double ring ceremony in the presence of immediate families fam-ilies and close friends. Mis. Reid, mother of the bride played the wedding march. Given Giv-en in marriage by her father, the bride was lovely in white nylon marquisette fashioned with a high neckline and full tiered j skirt with lace inserts and bows. Her fingertip veil fell from a i lace tiara and she wore a cor- j sage of red rose buds. Mrs. Donald Davis, her sister's ! only attendant, was gowned in black and white, complimented I by a corsage of gardenias and pink and white gladiolus. Melvin Locke of Cleveland was best man. For her daughter's wedding Mrs. Reid wore a model of blue floral crepe. Mrs. Bishop, the bridegroom's mother, was gown- cd in aqua crepe. Both wore corsages of gardenias and pink ! carnations. Following the ceremony a buffet buf-fet dinner was served. A large double ring wedding cake in pink and white with tall white cathedral candles in crystal on either side centered the poibsetta lace covered dining table. Arrangements Ar-rangements of pink and red roses in crystal bowls were about the rooms. During the evening three piano pi-ano selections were given by Gerry Shilling and Elaine Jones of Springville rendered two vocal vo-cal solas. Valena Jones gave a humorous reading, "The Busy Broker" by OHenry. After a wedding trip, the young couple plan to make their home at Hiawatha. |
