Read this shocking account of needless mental suffering in the Ameri-can Weekly, that great magazine listributed with next Sunday's Los Angeles Examiner. while for the same time last period of year, there were only mne eases with one death. We have had more diphtheria cases so far thi year than for ";y full year sines 1941 when there were 35 eases and one death is evident that diphtheria cas-es are increasing in the slate although, rather slowly. This in-crease is better pointed out by the comparison of the number of eases so far this year (30) with 16 cases which is the yearly average for the preceding five j years, li)41 to 1945. This increase is a definite indication for more widespread diphtheria immuni-zations. See your family physic-- j tan as he is the person n,st qual-- ! liied to advise you concerning diphtheria immunization for your children.
