L Thomas who was a territorial governor of Utah and former postmaster of Salt Lake City died W Wednesday night in Beverly Hills of n R heart attack Mr Thomas vas was born in WashIngton WashIngton Wash- Wash Ington D. D C. C April 10 1877 and moved to Utah with his parents in 1879 He attended Salt Lake City schools and the University of Utah At one time he was employed by byThe byThe byThe The Salt Lake Tribune Formerly employed in the Utah state tate auditors auditor's office Mr Thomas also also was was' former manager of the Garfield Improvement company and the Garfield Water company subsidiarIes of the American SmeltIng Smelt- Smelt Ing ng and Refining company and Utah Copper company until 1920 He ie was later associated with the Western Vestern Weighing and Inspection bureau in Salt Lake City Surviving are his widow Mrs Flora Griffin Thomas two brothers broth broth- ers Major Alex Thomas Ukiah Cat Cal and A.
