Lee due at Main street at 9 a. a m. m struck tru k on one of Bamberger's Bamberger s coal hear near the corner coiner of ot Second West and South Temple streets The heavy wagon driver and team were lifted bodily into the air and hurled to lo the edge of ot the sidewalk The Th wagon was shattered the team thrown throw n on their backs near the edge of the sidewalk and the driver Joseph I Taylor propelled through the air all a distance dis 1 tance of ot fifteen feet landing with ter ter- ter- ter rIfle force on on his head and shoulders Taylor was as rendered unconscious by his fall J He was bleeding profusely from his head and was was' placed on the car in an unconscious condition and taken to the offices of Drs Rich an and Wilcox in the Templeton building i where An ee examination he regained i r g of consciousness Mr o Taylor i b by Dr Wilcox revealed a bad scalp wound of ot about two Inches in m length on the head and several severe contusions on the arms and shoulders After his wounds were dressed he was conveyed to his home at L street where at last accounts he was resting easy and hopes are entertained of ot his speedy recovery |
