Denver, told mine operators this week. He urged the mine companies to examine labor relations re-lations and eliminate possible lac-tors lac-tors causing workers to leave the mines. Mr McCusker met the operators opera-tors at Fort Douglas, where fur-loughed fur-loughed men were being employed employ-ed by the mine companies. Mr. McCusker and Joseph S. Mayer, Utah WMC director, met Friday with commanding otne-ers otne-ers of the various military installations, in-stallations, United States engineers engi-neers and civil service commissioners commis-sioners to discuss possibilities ot releasing some civilian employes to correct other man power short- 8S"It was determined," Mr. Mayer May-er said, "that several installations will require more civilian workers- Only a negligible number of civilians can be released and only on-ly temporarily from other centers." |
