ALTA MINES COMPANY REPORTS PROGRESS Indications are arc described as rather favorable for encountering ore in commercial quantity as the result o exploration work under the lease on the Alta United Mines company property prop erty at Alta it was announced Thursday Thurs Thum day by George H. H Watson president and general manager of the Alta Champion Mining company in submitting sub muting the company's 1933 1033 report to stockholders Mr Watson reported that small streaks of high grade ore have been uncovered In feet of drifting and feet of raising along the property's proper tys ty's gold ore zone Wedge and Boston Boston Bos Bos- ton fissures In the gold ore zone fissure ore was uncovered which carries 3 per cent bismuth 17 per percent percent cent copper ounces of silver ounce of gold and small values in lead zinc and iron Since operations were started ii In July 1933 the company has reopened the Dwyer drain and transportation tunnel for feet from its portal In addition a surface plant and a heavy duty bridge across Little Cot Cot- creek have havo been constructed
