OCR Text The Homemaker HomemakerS S BEEF STEW SIEW WITH WIT DUMPLINGS Dinner for Six The Menu Beef Stew with Dumplings Mashed Sweet Potatoes Buttered Green Beans Bread Butter Cabbage Salad in Gelatin Date Bars Coffee C Beef Stew With Dumplings Two pounds beef round 12 2 cup lour flour flour 2 tablespoons chopped onion 2 4 i tablespoons tablespoons tablespoons table table- tablespoons chopped celery spoons fat 1 teaspoon salt 1 i teaspoon paprika 4 cups cups water Cut beef into one inch pieces Rollin Roll RollIn Rollin in flour Heat fat in a deep kettle Add and quickly brown broW 1 the beef beel onion and celery Add th the rest of the ingredients Cover and cook slowly for 1 1 3 1 hours Add the dumpling Dumpling Two cups flour 2 teaspoons baking powder 3 1 t teaspoon poon salt 1 cup milk mills Mix flour baking powder and salt Add milk Drop portions of soft dough from tip of spoon on top hot cooking mixture Cover tightly and cook 5 minutes Carefully remove dumplings and pour stew onto platter and surround surround sur sur- sur round with dumplings Cabbage Salad in Gelatin One package lemon flavored gelatin gela tin lin mixture 1 3 2 cups 3 L cup vinegar 4 1 cup sugar 2 1 teaspoon salt 4 1 teaspoon paprika 1 cup chopped cabbage 4 1 cup chopped stuffed olives 4 1 cup chopped sweet pickles Pour water over gelatin mixture and stir until it has dissolved Add vinegar and seasonings Cool Add rest of ingredients and pour into glass mold Chill until stiff on lettuce leaves and top with salad dressing SUNDAY TEA FOR FOIL COMPANY Crab Salad Toasted Ch Cheese e Sandwiches Orange Sherbet Angel Food Cake Coffee Salted Nuts
