CHICAGO WILL REBUILD YARDS New Stock Center Will Be Fireproof Exchange Walls Intact CHICAGO Ma May p 22 IP A P-A A new and fireproof stockyards yet one with familiar features will rise from the ashes of the one almost destroyed by fire ire last week The nine story nine story Exchange building will vill probably not be razed Its walls and foundations are arc intact At the time lime of the fire commission firms had lad offices there there the the nerve center of the vast industry One of the little ironies of the fire was vas the fact that the 80 acres across which the conna conflagration raged was literally lined with water The vast acres of the stock pens were vere filled with metal and stone water vater troughs from which beasts might drink and these troughs were supplied with water fram an intricate network of pipes and conduits which placed spigots on tap every few feet teet The U IOU S.
