P Backman a member of the of-the the city and county relief county relief committee informed the city commission commission com corn mission Thursday Federal relief funds will be reduced to a month after July 1 I Mr Backman said providing the committee commit commit- tee with only half hall the funds fund it needs and is using at present Unless some method is found to raise additional the work will be seriously hampered he explained He discussed the possibility of or floating a municipal bond issue to provide the relief money but the proposal was rejected by the commission commission com mission on the grounds it would be similar to the storm sewer bond issue The commissioners pointed out that while the bonds were issued to provide provide provIde pro pro- vide employment the the city was forced to accede to the use of machinery inthe in inthe the thc construction of the sewers thus defeating the thc purpose of the original plan
