Show Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Fike and family joined Fred Turner and Carter Turner of San Pablo, Calif., and Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Fike and family of Salt Lake City and Dorothy Hansen for a family outing last Friday at Liberty Lib-erty park. Mrs. T. H. McMullin and sons left Monday to visit a few weeks in Heber. Mr. and Mrs. C .L. Booth and Paulino Barkle of Salt Lake City soent the week-end with Mr. and Mrs. J. F. Barkle. The Barkles spent the holiday in Salt Lake City. Mrs. Fred Cox and grandson, Floyd Cox, left Sunday to visit 10 days in Los Angeles with relatives. re-latives. Storekeeper 3C William' H. Atkinson and Mrs. Atkinson and children left Wednesday to return re-turn to Danville, Calif., after a visit with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Guy S. Cshristensen of Salt Lake City, and his folks, William Atkinson and daughter, Harriet, of Copperton. Mrs. Vincent McGuire and son, Michael, of Salt Lake City, spent June 2!) with Mr. and Mrs. H. R. Gust. Carol Peterson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Peterson, left June 29 to spend several days visiting in Springville with Mr. and Mrs. Bill Long. Tuesday Mr. and Mrs. Leo Thorne, Mrs. Ralph Henkel and two children, Mrs. Annie Henkel and Mrs. Dale Porter spent the day in Liberty park. Mr. and Mrs. Dewey Wright and family spent Monday at Pro-vo Pro-vo at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Wilkins and Tuesday night they were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Anderson of Salt Lake City. The evening of June 29 Mr. and Mrs. Elvin Armitstead and family, Mrs. Leo Thorne and Mrs. Dale Porter spent an enjoyable en-joyable day at Liberty park. Mrs. Elvin Armitstead spent Friday and Saturday visiting in American Folk with her father, Mr. Conder, who is recovering from an accident. Monday Mr. and Mrs. Leo Thorne visited with Mr. and Mrs. Conder of American Fork. Mrs. Elvin Armitstead also spent the evening with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Conder. Saturday Mr. and Mrs. Leo Thorne spent the day fishing in American Fork canyon. Sunday evening Mr, and Mrs. II. A. Cheever and daughters, Elaine and Shirley, visited in Salt Lake with Mrs. Cheever's sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. L. G. Erickson. Monday. Marjorie Thompson, Rhea Lou Wilcox, Vida Rae Poul-sen, Poul-sen, Beverly Anderson, Betty Lou Houghton spent the evening swimming at Black Rock. Sunday Mrs. Lynn Brerton and three children and Mrs. Les Hardy and two children and Mrs. Denny Davis and two children of Provo were visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Cowdell. John M. Barnhart, husband of the former Barbara Jenkins, wrote her that he is stationed at Camp Roberts, Calif. Mrs. Barn-hart Barn-hart also received a telegram from him Sunday Tuesday Mr. and Mrs. Ray Carl and family. Mr. and Mrs. Joseph McDonald, Mr. and Mrs. Blaine Milner and daughter, Pearl, spent the day at Liberty park. Also Mrs. Lydia Carl of Salt Lake City was with them. Mrs. O. R. Warner and daughter daugh-ter Mildred, returned from the Uintah Basin June 30 after spending several days visiting friends and relatives. Sunday Mrs. William Burleigh and daughter, Myrlene, of Butte, Mont., is expected to arrive to visit with Mr. and Mrs. Archie J. Sorenson. , Mr. and Mrs. Rex Garrett and daughters, Maxine and Dorothy, motored to American Fork to bring Mrs. Louis Garrett back to stay with her daughter, Mrs. H. P. Matthews. Tuesday Mr. and Mrs. William Peterson and family and Mr. and Mrs. M. R. Allen of Sandy spent the day in Provo canyon. Mr. and Mrs.' Alfred Tassainer and son, Arvel, of American Fork and Mr. and Mrs. K. Tassainer went to Murray Sunday to be dinner guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Max Tassainer. Mr. and Mrs. E. G. Johnson spent Friday in Salt Lake City with Mrs. Jesse Jolley and brought Clark Johnson of Salt Lake City home to visit indefinitely. indefin-itely. Work and business meeting of the Copperton LDS Relief society will be held at the wardhouse at 1 p.m. next Tuesday under leadership lead-ership of Mrs. Elva Nix. Mr. and Mrs. John W. Sunday evening a picnic was enjoyed at Butterfield canyon by Mr. and Mrs. Joe Harker, Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Hansen, Mr. and Mrs. Kermith Isbell and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Miller of Bingham. Bing-ham. Colyar spent Monday and Tuesday at the home of their daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Elmo Nester of Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Fike and family of Salt Lake City spent the Fourth of July with Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Fike. John G. Curry, son of Mr. and Mrs. David H. Curry, arrived home June 28 from Boulder, Colo., where he has been attending attend-ing the University of Colorado, to which he plans to return in October. The evening of June 22 a farewell fare-well party was given for Douglas Goff before he left for the air corps by the LDS choir of which he was a member. F Wilcox, Rex Garrett, Ernest Nix, Mrs Mary Winn, Mrs. Bernice Foster, Mrs. Ethel Crellin, Robert E, Pullan, Mrs. Vida Poulsen, Mrs, Emily Hofmann, Vida Rae Poulsen, Poul-sen, Rhea Lou Wilcox, Jenna Vee Olsen, Jacqueline Barlow, Mrs. Ruby Parkin and Jean and Beverly Bev-erly Reeves of California. Games were played and delicious refreshments re-freshments were served. Boy Scout Troop 350 enjoyed a swimming trip to Saratoga the evening of June 29. Sixteen boys and Wayne Hansen were in attendance. |
