D Roosevelt lt Democrat t 8 Herbert Hoover Republican 15 Norman Thomas Socialist Roosevelt's plurality The vote for Roosevelt exceeded by about that given Mr vIr Hoover in 1928 when he defeated Alfred ESmith E E.
