Show A Damage Suit Settled. Iu the Third District Court ou Friday, Judge Powers entered the suit of John Pollock, by his guardian, guard-ian, A. D. Pollock, against the Salt Lake City ltailroad Company for damages on account of personal injuries in-juries sustained. The plaintiff alleged al-leged that on August 1st in the present year he attempted to get off a car belonging to the defendant, but the con Juctor refused to allow the car to stop lone enough for plaint! The amount claimed oy the plaintiff plain-tiff was $10,000; but this morniug Judge Powers informed Judge Zane thatJVIr. Itawlings, attorney for, the defendant company, had consented to judgment being entered against bis clients for the sum of $2,000. Mr. Bawlingssatd that such was the cae. and his Honor accordingly entered Judgment for this amount, the trial of the being thus 'avoided. ' |
