He left their employ abouta month ago, and they have discovered that lie left his books tangled. So far they ha ve found a shortage said to reach nearly $3000. Tbe Investigation has developed tbe fact that he has been living a double life. With his wife he kert house on Chateau Avenue, near Twelfth Street, and Just two blocks away lived the widow O'DeU. It h.a been discovered that Splcker had been spending a great deal of his time with ber. Two months ago be sent bis wife to Europe and three days after her departure he took up hU home with the widow. Three weeks liter they- left the city together.
