O Birthday Noted Saturday evening a birthday Earty was given for Peter Smith daughter, Mrs. Norman Miss Helen Loveless Is Wednesday Bride In a ceremony solemnized by Apostle Joseph Fielding Smith in the Salt Lake LDS temple at 1:30 o'clock the afternoon of January 28, Miss Helen Loveless and Arnold Hildebrandt of Mil-waukee, Wis., exchanged mar-riage vows. Accompanying the couple to the temple were the bride's mother, Mrs. P. O. Love-less; her grandmother, Mrs. Let-ti- e Gudmundsen of Lehi. and Mrs. farrell Thackeray of Salt Lake City. A reception honoring Mr. and Mrs. Hildebrandt was given by Mr. and Mrs. Loveless last even-ing, January 29, at the Lion House Social Center in Salt Lake City. The bride was charming in her white satin wedding dress, made en train and with long sleeves. A fingertip veil of illusion was held in place with fresh orange blossoms. Her bouquet was of all white rosebuds and sweetpeas, centered with an orchid. The only attendant, Miss Virginia Harris, wore a model of Spanish tile georgette. ' Immediately following the re-ception the couple left for Mil-waukee to make their home. For traveling Mrs. Hildebrandt wore a black velvet suit and match-ing accessories. Bridge Luncheon Given Saturday A patriotic theme and defense stamps for prizes were used for the delightful bridge luncheon given by Mrs. Ben Price at her home Saturday afternoon. The guest list included Mrs. Frank Finnas, Mrs. Odell Peterson, Mrs. P. O. Loveless, Mrs. C. E. Wilson, Mrs. J. Dewey Knudsen, Mrs. W. T. Rogers, Mrs. Charles Sax, Mrs. Frank Davis, Mrs. E. V. Knudsen, Mrs. M. C. Colyar, Mrs. Harvey L. Goff, Mrs. B. D. Ben-nio- n, Mrs. G. T. Buckle. The prizes went to Mrs. E. V. Knud-sen and Mrs. Colyar. GIRL SCOUT NEWS Carol Peterson, scribe. The home of Jeanette Groves was scene of the Girl Scout meet-ing at 6 p. m. January 26. Mar-garet McKellar, leader of the Pigeon patrol, was in charge of the program. A salute to the flag was given followed by singing of "I Am An American". Cap-tain Nona Carrigan then drilled us in "The Horehoe Formation" and plans were discussed for the investiture. Present were Mar-garet McKellar, Bonnie Bethel, Carol Peterson, Joyce Miller, Erma June Gammell, Margaret Nix, Janice Hansen, Norma Swain, Colleen Robison, Lois Groves, Shirley Watkins, Jean-ette Groves and Shirley Smith. The meeting closed with sing-ing of "Taps". Investiture ceremonies for Cop-perton Girl Scouts were planned at the meeting held at the home of Joyce Miller January 19. With Colleen Robison acting as chair-man, committees were elected and a program planned. Other business included singing of calling the roll, collection of dues and a lemon eatine relav. Rebekah Lodge Met At Denver Home The regular meeting of the Ruth Rebekah lodge No. 7, I. O. O. F., was held at the home of Mrs. James Denver Tuesday ev-ening with Mrs. J. D. Laycock, vice grand, conducting. A late supper was served 19 members with defense stamps prizes at bridge being presented Mrs. J. Dewey Knudsen, Mrs. Laycock and Mrs. S. T. Nerdin. Frisch Honored Saturday A miscellaneous shower was given Saturday evening for Mrs. Joe A. Frisch by Mrs. Clarence Watkins. A recent bride, Mrs. Frisch is the former Miss Betty Long.
