THE TOURIST FLOOD T THE HE state four-state pact formed to usher tourIsts tourists tourists tour- tour through the west over the best roads and through unsurpassed scenery is a co cooperative cooperative cooperative co- co operative movement which bids fair to bear fruitful results for Utah Colorado Nevada and Wyoming Tourist and travel agencies of the states met in Salt Lake City and formed an organization organization organization organ organ- which has as its objective the handling handling han han- dUng of heavy tourist traffic which this year more than any other year in recent times is expected to flow westward to the Olympic games and other attractions This Is to be an abnormal flow added to the usual summer tourist traffic The highways highways highways high high- ways over which tl this s traffic is to be directed will be in better condition than ever and the highway chain will offer a more convenient route to the the coast than that which ribbons Its way over the hot southern deserts of New Mexico and Arizona Three important highways from the east will feed a great caravan of tourists into Salt Lake City from which point they converge into two prime highways to the coast one taking them Into northern California and the other into the south All these highways are scenic and offer the motorist more comfortable travel than over the blistering highways of the south The cooperation of the various agencies of the four states will naturally result in ad advantages advantages advantages ad- ad vantages never before realized The dictionary helps to elucidate some features of radio programs It de defines ines crooning as making a continuous hollow sound as cattle in pain
