The opinion Is gaining ground that the national leaders cf the democratic party bare many lobbyists lobby-ists here In their Interests and that the psllcy of the Alliance In many respects will be influenced by them, notably In the case of the sub-treasury UU. That measure is now under un-der consideration Ly the National Alliance and has been for several days past It is predicted that when it finally comes from the committee It will have been modified and changed in many important laruc-ulars, laruc-ulars, with a view to making it accord ac-cord with democratic doctrine to such an extent that it can be easily adopted by the national democratic convention of 1SS2, or, perhaps, be passed by Congress prior to that event. With some slight changes and modifications the Alliance platform could, It Is predicted, secure absolute adoption by tbo national democratic convention aud this, with the indorsement in-dorsement of a modified sub-treasury bill, would place the democratic party squarely upon the Farmer's Alliance platform. In this way it would gain the support of tho entire Alliance and democratic votes througbut tbe country.
