At the moathly meeting last night Lyman Aboott read a letter from Smith, setting forth bis repentance and asking advice. After a short talk on the matter the following resolution was pssseil' Besolved, That the church, fully recognizing the s n of Albert H. B. Boorum and Thomas G. Sheiman seconded the resolution. No other remarks were made Deacon Blair put the question and without a dissenting voice the resolution reso-lution was carried. After the mectiug there waa much quiet talk among tbe members, but no open expression was made against tbe return of Forger Smith to the fold. |
