While in this condition, at about 2 o'clock, ho attempted to mount a flat car that lurnied a part of a Union Pacific freight train, which was being switched at the depot. He was not observed by any of the train men until after he had fallen on the track and several car wheels had passed over hlin. His left leg and right foot wen-completely wen-completely crushed. He was picked up iu an insensible condition and carried Into the station hou'e where he was laid on a cot. Dr. Pike was called and bandaged the wounds sufficiently to prevent lhe man from bleeding to death, but ho expressed his opinion that tho man could not possibly live beyond a few hours; the only thing that kept the flaniu of life burning being the liquor he bad drunk. Brady soon became conscious, but did not seem to realize h!s condition. Hertmirkcd that ho would bu all right in Uie morning and that it was Uie result of getting drunk, etc. At about -1:30 o'clock he was removed to more comfortable quarters in the secou ! story of the city Jail, where opiates were administered ad-ministered to him by Dr. Simmons. He died at 5:30 o'clock, apparently Without having suffered but very little pains. His last words were to Officer Hill. "Hill," he Said, "I was trying to get away, when I got hurt."
