Show SOLID DA.1UH. Depositors Alarmed Without any Canse. New York:, Nov. 19. In some unaccountable way today a rumor was started that the Citizens' Savings Sav-ings Bank was in trouble. The depositors de-positors are largely the poorer class or Hebrews, Poles and Germans, on the east side or the city. Soon the doors or the institution wero be-sioged be-sioged by crowds or excited people, who became so riotous that a squad or police had to be called. President Qulntard said this evening about $100,000 had been paid out and the bank was all right. He showed by the books that the bank had a surplus sur-plus or 81,400.000. Newark, N. J., Nov. 19. There was a run on the Howard Savings Institution today. Money was paid out as fast as tho clerks could count it.
