Show They Want Kelief. Yesterday the members uf tUe Transportation Bureau and a few of the lumber merchants of the city waited as a depuUtion upon Mr. 8. W. Eccles, G. P. A., Union Pacific Railway, upon tbe subject of the threatened lumber famine. In reply re-ply to the deputation, Mr. Eccles said he was mostdeslrousof extending extend-ing assistance to the lumber dealers anJ contractors by bringing lumber in for them, and promised that he wmil 1 urtro his Comnanv to do all in their power to give tho relief asked. In consequence, however, of tho temporary absence of General Gen-eral Manager Kesseguin from town, uither action on the matter was decayed dec-ayed for the present. |
